Embrocation is a warming formula that is applied to exposed skin during cold weather. Embrocation is most appropriate for application to the legs when riding in cold weather with exposed legs. There are a few forms of embrocation, most embrocations come in a gel form that is rubbed on like lotion but some companies now offer a stick form that you can rub on. Caution must taken while using embrocation because it can cause irritation to sensitive skin areas. It is recommended to keep it off your hands, and to shower to wash it off before touching your skin. Despite these cautions embrocation is a very useful tool and here at Bicycle Heaven we recommend you try some if you want to ride in cold weather. Embrocation is located next to the chamois cream in our store, just make sure you don’t confuse the two.
