It’s 6:45 a.m. on a Saturday in December. Where were you? Where are we? We were getting ready for the first of two Bicycle Heaven Computrainer sessions. The BH training Dungeon coming alive:
What’s on the menu today? This is on the menu today:
Just out of curiosity, why does the computrainer computer interface remind us of the movie “War Games?” Shall we play a game?
Playing games. That’s exactly why we get up early in December. Our game isn’t War Games, though. Our game is Leland. Our game is O’Fallon. Our game is Villa Park. Those games aren’t won in the summer, though. They’re won on cold, rainy winter mornings in dark basements. Mornings like this morning.
Kudos to the 6 riders who were at the Shop for a 7:00 a.m. start. Hey Mara, was is worth getting up early?
Of course it was. Don’t mind Gary laughing. Sweet Cannondale behind you, by the way. Kudos also go out to the three women and five men including teammates, non-teammates, triathletes and even mountain bikers who helped sell out and crush the 9:00 a.m. session.
If you’re interested in weekend computrainer rides, call the shop, buy a punch card, and get after it. If you’ve never ridden a computrainer, you’ll find it to be an incredible workout. When you’re there, make sure to thank Rob Kelley and Bryan Fuller. Both guys give way more back to the team than they take away, and we wouldn’t be riding computrainers on a soggy December morning without them.
