Congratulations go out to Bicycle Heaven’s own Andy Kerr. Last weekend the racing schedule took us to Chicago’s north shore for the State Championships in Glencoe. With riders from all over the country, fields were huge and the racing was tough. Not too tough for Kerr, though! Andy won (another) USA Cycling, Illinois State Championship in the Masters 55+ race! Nice work, Andy!
Speaking of Andy’s, our other “Andy” narrowly missed the Cat 3 state jersey. Andy Swims, pictured below, was one of the survivors of a Cat 2/3 race that saw nearly 120 starters (and nowhere near as many finishers). Swims got second of the 3′s by about a half a wheel.
