This Wednesday – (1/11/12) I’ll be holding an FTP test night.  If you are interested in knowing this baseline number please sign up. Since the entire test process will take about 40 min (including warm up) I’d like to use the rest of the time (approx 55 min) to discuss the benefits of training with power and how a power meter can help reach your 2012 season goals.

I’ll also show you how training with power can help with, plan your season, prevent over training, preparing your peak for A races, add quality to your
training (no more junk miles), help with nutritional requirements and weight loss, record your own PRs, tracking your fitness, fatigue and a lot
of other useful tidbits of information you or a TrainingBible<http://www.trainingbible.com>coach can use to help you improve.  I’ll also be discussing the benefits of Crank based powermeters (Quarq) and the TrainingPeaks software we use for logging data.

We will still be punching cards for the class however there will be a plethora of useful information that I think everyone can benefit from if you plan on training and racing with power or wanting to get some coaching from Rob <http://www.rokcoaching.com> or myself.

I’d also like to give props to Bicycle Heaven and sponsors for investing a lot of time and cash into developing us into one of the strongest teams in this area.  Keep up the hard work and motivation and we look forward to seeing a lot of “hands in the air” this season.

Warm up will start at 6:30pm sharp so be there on your bike ready to spin.  I’ll be off the bike for the night if anyone has questions I’d be happy to
help

See you there
Patrick Fasse
