This week’s bike of the week is the Cannondale F29 Aluminum. The F29 is an ultra lightweight aluminum 29er made for performance and racing. This 29er is a perfect bike for mountain biking in the Midwest. Being a simple hard tail it is very lightweight compared to its full suspension brothers and makes for a fast bike that can hit most any trail found around us. The rear end of the F29 frame incorporates Cannondale’s SAVE Technology making it more compliant, comfortable and easier on the body without going to a full suspension setup. All builds of the F29 come with Cannondale’s Signature Lefty Fork. The lefty fork has phenomenal performance and is incredibly lightweight. The Second bike I have photographed is the F29 1. This bike is a nice step up from the 2 and offers a very well rounded Sram setup. This bike retails for $2,790 and is the nicest build Cannondale offers on this frame. The full specs for this bike are linked here.
