Glencoe Grand Prix

Glencoe is this Saturday.  Aside from being a National race, it’s also the State Crit Champs.  It already looks like there will be huge fields, even possibly getting triple-digits of riders in some.  Below is the preview from before last year’s race.  The course is the same.  See you there.

  This one comes from Brion Goudreau’s Elgin Cycling Classic photos. This weekend the team will split racing duties between the “regional” and traditional Memorial Day Weekend Bike races, and the more “local” (but equally as fun) ABD Memorial Day Masters series.

Seeing Red.

Won Two.

In Urbana, Mara snagged the team it’s first ever U.S.A. Bike racing girls rock.

…and ours are on a roll!  Ashley hits the top podium spot in her first ever W4′s crit.  The girls are red-hot having now won two weeks in a row.  Nice job Ashley! Details on the rest of the team to follow.

Mara hits it big.

The Illinois Cycling Association has been recording some videos after the Illinois Cup races.  Today we noticed that they’ve posted a little video of Sunday’s Women’s Cat 4 winner.  Congrats again to Mara… whose future is so bright, apparently she had to wear shades!

Tour de Champaign and Urbana

Last weekend saw the first Illinois Cup stop outside the greater Chicago metro area.  On Saturday we raced the “Tour de Champaign” on the campus of the U of I in brutal heat.  Sunday saw racing in downtown Urbana on a tight, technical course.
