2012 Custom Hunter Extravaganza!!!

5 months, 3 weeks ago 0

As the season comes to an end the Bicycle Heaven staff has been entertaining themselves with a little bit of custom love.  With three custom geometry frames compliments of Rick Hunter and custom paint compliments of Joel Moliter we have decided to make some of the most unique and attractive bikes you will ever see.  Each of these frames was hand made out of lightweight steel in Califonia (Made In USA!!!).  Not only are they hand made they are custom geometry’s determined by each riders personal dimensions.  Once we got the raw frames it was time for some creativity.  Each of the owners for these bikes (one being Ara and another being Kay, two shop employees) got to pick exactly how they wanted it painted.Aras bike is a little more conservative but still makes a bold statement with a light mint green finish and large black logos.

Kay’s bike screams “I’m Kay and Ill Ride A Pink Bike No Matter What You Say” which tends to be a reoccurring theme in many of Kay’s bike choices but nonetheless is a wicked paint job with a light pink to black fade. Kay has decided to build her bike with a Shimano Groupset and her personal favorite wheels Reynolds 46 carbon clinchers.  Also being a shop employee she has to use a Thomson seatpost and stem, Fisik saddle, and the cherry on top of every steel frame a Chris King Headset.  Well she does not have to use these things but Kay knows that anything else just falls short.

The final bike which was custom built for a customer has a awesome navy to silver fade in many different points on the bike. This Bike is being assembled with the new Sram Red groupset and Ritchy parts all throughout.  This Bike will be fast stylish and truly personal.

Two of the bikes have Bicycle Heaven logos painted into the finish as that is an option offered by Joel and really rounds out the custom feel of the bike.  Also note that all the custom painting is done with the logos painted onto the frame, so these bikes do not have decals on them.

Each of these bikes will be built up with a different set of components some of which we are still waiting on.  Ill make sure to post pictures of the final products.
